 I want a specially shaped piece to match a drawing I have, can you do that? |
| I can reproduce virtually any design that can be drawn, traced or photographed. A good example is my "Wedding Invitation Table" shaped to the graphics on a couple's marriage announcement. Also, I made an "Elk Table" for a customer who raised them. |
| I want a higher priced piece, but I can't afford it. What can I do? |
| If
you like, you can save money by applying your own finish. There are
certain protocols that I will supply to help you apply and maintain a
customer-applied finish. Also, added details to the piece
can be altered (or eliminated) to lower costs. |
| Why don't you have prices listed for the larger items? |
| It
would be futile to list a price for a piece where decisions about
dimension and detail have not been discussed with you. |
| How do I start the process of ordering a piece from Odin Forge? |
| Easy! Drop me an E-mail
that includes a telephone number I can reach you at. Feel free to
generally describe the project in your communique, or we can discuss it
on the phone. |
Why do I have to contact you through email before I order a piece? |
| Since
I work a diverse work schedule, contacting me by telephone would be
difficult for most customers. As soon as I receive your e-mail
enquiry I will get back to you by telephone and /or email. |
| Why don't you have an order form or use some type of web-shopping software? |
| I
had the option of using some type of "e-commerce ordering" from
my site, but I turned it down for two reasons: Most importantly, all my
pieces are unique so I couldn't just list products for you to select.
Secondly, I need to make contact with you personally to get real feel
for what you are looking for. This direct contact ensures your
project's success! |
| How long will my piece take to make? |
| I don't have a flat answer for that question. Time frames are very much project specific. My Garden of Gethsemane Table took almost 300 hours, on the other hand the Wine Rack took about 25 hours. We will discuss the time frame after I know your requirements or creative plan. |
| What are the payment arrangements? |
| All
pieces are cash or check basis. Pieces under $250.00 - paid in
advance. Pieces over $250.00 - half in advance, half on receipt of
goods. |
| I don't live near Odin Forge. How will my piece get to me? |
| I will use any shipping company you request. (UPS, etc.) |
| Who pays for shipping? |
| For most items you are responsible for this extra expense, but I will split the cost on items over $250.00 |
